DAY 3: RESET

...FADE TO BLACK...

OBJECTIVE: Humans must pick up their KillIDs in the Hitchcock Hall lobby. After they do that, humans must find and stun special zombies on campus. They will be wearing flag football-style belts, and when the humans stun them, the humans need to grab one of the flags. Only one flag per stun-- these special zombies can only be stunned once in 7 minutes, so you cannot reset their stun timer. After the humans get the flags, they bring them back to the organizers in the Hitchcock Hall lobby.

Riots End in Quarantine; Mayor Found Dead

Police received multiple reports of incidents last night, culminating in a riot in the north end. Police evacuated a large part of the civilian population involved in the riots to the mobile aid shelter at the hospital. Rumors have surfaced that the pathogen has reached our city, and thanks to many of our vigilant readers sending in pictures, it has been confirmed that we are indeed facing the infection.
One of the first patrols brought news of a different kind. Mayor Büttski was apparently murdered last night. Responding to the call, police found Mayor Büttski dead and Justine Andrews, one of Mayor Büttski’s staff, at the scene. She was promptly taken into custody. Police have yet to issue a statement concerning Ms. Andrews’ involvement.

OBITUARIES
Gloria Büttski, 34, died of unknown causes last night. After overcoming scandals concerning her previous history as a wrestler, Mayor Büttski won the office of mayor and the hearts of many. Her stances were a bit unorthodox sometimes, but her no-nonsense attitude and genuine concern for the well-being of her city won over many of her opponents. Mayor Büttski was running unopposed this election, and will be missed by all, especially in this troubled time.

NIGHT 1 BRIEFINGS

MISSION TONIGHT: Amnesty starts at 8PM; Briefing starts around 8:30PM.

HUMANS: CHECK YOUR HUMAN DISCUSSION PAGE

ZOMBIES: CHECK YOUR ZOMBIE DISCUSSION PAGE

As a side note-- we've had a disturbing amount of Support Tickets about people not carrying their KillIDs or carrying blasters and not wearing bandannas. Not cool, guys. We hate giving those Info Meetings just as much as you guys hate sitting there and listening to them, but the KillIDs and Bandannas thing was mentioned A LOT, and is one of the main rules of the game. Even if you're walking to class, you should be wearing your bandanna and ready to play, since being paranoid then is the most fun.

DAY 1: The Daily Nut -- Picture Submissions

How about Mayor Büttski's speech? That was a fantastic presentation she and Police Chief Baldwin gave and we agree with the suggestion to not panic, but we here at The Daily Nut feel that it's our duty to break the news, even if politicians aren't happy with it. We think something is going on here in our city, and we want some proof. From 2:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. today, post pictures in our dedicated forum of these "infected" people. The better the picture, the more likely they will be used. And extra points if an uninfected person is in shot with them!

OBJECTIVE: Humans take pictures of zombies today. You will be judged on quality of picture, number of active zombies, humans in frame, and range from zombie. Post the pictures (uploaded to a free image server) in the forum topic.

OPENING CEREMONY

The Opening Ceremony is tomorrow night (10/16/12) at 8:45PM in the Browning Aphitheatre (that outdoor stage next to Mirror Lake). It's expected to be pretty short, so if you guys wanna get a heads-up on the plot, come out! The game doesn't start until midnight, Wednesday morning, so you don't have to bring any of your gear unless you want to stay out all night and OZ hunt.

If you did not come to any Info Meetings, you HAVE to come tomorrow night after the Opening Ceremony-- we're heading over to Hitchcock for a last minute Info Meeting.

Also, Cane's is sponsoring us from 6-10PM-- so anything you buy at Cane's while presenting THIS FLYER gets us 20% of whatever you spent! Go eat Cane's before the OC if you print it out yourself. We will be handing out flyers at the OC if you don't wanna waste ink.

(EDIT: We have changed the time of the OC from 8 to 8:45PM.)
