Citizens Urged to Be Prepared

WASHINGTON – Earlier this week, government officials lost contact with the U.S. Embassy in London, and all attempts to contact the Prime Minister have gone unanswered. There have been unconfirmed reports of the still-unknown pathogen on the East coast. Hoping to curtail panic, the President addressed the nation Tuesday, reassuring citizens that the government is working around the clock to stop this infection, but neither confirmed nor denied the reports. The President and other members of his Cabinet have since been evacuated to an undisclosed “safe zone”.

The CDC is still unsure as to what the cause is, or where it originated. They have opened more mobile aid shelters, and are now issuing pamphlets to all homes across the nation with plans of what to do if you come into contact with someone infected with this pathogen.

Strange Sickness Causes Stir

WASHINGTON – The President has declared a national state of emergency today, amidst opposition from the Senate. Following reports of an outbreak of an unknown pathogen in cities such as London, Moscow, and Beijing, the president met with major members of the CDC and other notable scientists to discuss preventative methods.

There have been reports of infected people transferring the infection through fluid contact; there have been a total of 6,212 reported cases of the infected biting victims. The CDC has released a statement urging people to not panic, but visit their doctor if they are feeling ill or to visit mobile aid shelters if they have been bitten. The full list of symptoms and mobile aid shelter locations can be found on the CDC website.

OWL Blaster Donations Drop Off

We'll be in the ground floor of the Union (in that lounge area) from 3pm-6pm Friday the 17th collecting blasters for the OWL field day.  I'll probably be wearing one of the yellow organizer shirts so you can identify me.

(Also if you happen to have any used streamline darts that you were planning on getting rid of, we could use those too (they don't have to be perfect))

There may be a surprise guest apperance by either

A) Your favorite organizer, Kat

B) The most hated organizer of all time, Kat

SP'12 Infection POST-GAME

Alive! We’ve broken the curse and are all very much alive. I think you’ll all be interested in knowing exactly what has happened over the course of this past week. I’ve had time on my hands now that the dig site is shut down, so I’ve finished translating the book in its entirety. Talking to the shaman filled in any gaps that were left. I think you all deserve to understand what has happened and why. I was recruited as an expert on ancient American cultures by the Businessman. He had recruited a small team of individuals to find and excavate a suspected site of the Mirca Lode.

FINALE: POST-MISSION-- Thanks for all the fish.

Thank you everyone for playing this Spring 2012 game of Infection! We hope you all had fun and will join us again next year. Stay tuned for more UGC events, as we hope to be hosting a lot more Nerf Wars -- maybe even during the summer!

Everyone should probably sweep for darts tomorrow-- we know you all spent a good amount of money on those things, so retrace your steps back to places you know you had epic battles and pick up your darts!

Join our Facebook group, if you haven't already so you can keep up-to-date on our events.
